GAZE PEINTE ET DÉCOUPÉE / Daniel Dezeuze
GAZE PEINTE ET DÉCOUPÉE / Daniel Dezeuze
Printed in an edition of 50 hand-cut, archival pigment prints on paper, each stamped and numbered on the back, accompanied by a signed and numbered certificate.
15.5” x 8” (at its widest points)
This print reproduces a painting from Daniel Dezeuze’s series Gaze peinte et découpée, created in the late 1970s. Dezeuze chose this specific piece for The Song Cave from the incredibly fragile and enigmatic “cut and painted gauze” pieces, as the original piece from 1979 has disappeared. We are incredibly proud to offer this limited edition print, re-introducing it to the world.
Born in Alès, France in 1942, Daniel Dezeuze has been exhibiting internationally since the early 1960s, including shows at Galerie Yvon Lambert, Paris; Casa de Francia, Mexico; Galerie Bernard Ceysson, Luxembourg; Cherry and Martin Gallery, Los Angeles; CANADA Gallery, New York; and Centre Pompidou, Paris.
